Gympie Regional Gallery Life Drawing Class

Learn and develop skills in drawing the human figure in a studio setting with an experienced facilitator/teacher and a life model in various poses.
A traditional creative practice with a contemporary edge. A highly experienced facilitator will lead these classes, with experienced Life Models in short, medium and longer timed poses. Art supplies are provided, but attendees may bring their own. Enjoy complimentary tea and coffee, and the company of others in a safe environment for both beginners and experienced artists alike.

Mixed Gender Life Art Modelling Workshop

Are you ready to see yourself as the beautiful, bountiful sacred body that you are? And be able to look in the mirror and love what you see? In this unique workshop learn the energetics and practicalities of life modelling and feel comfortable and confident in your skin. Join a small group of people to experience together the beauty of all our forms.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
- creative teaching with Zoe Awen, experienced figurative artist and life art model
- a number of opportunities to model for the group and experience what it is like to be drawn
- learn about the male visual gaze in art history and the effects on culture and our body image
- draw, share, reflect in fun activities
- learn practical do's and don'ts of life art modelling for longer poses
This is a MIXED GENDER event. All art materials, morning tea and lunch will be provided.
